Manual therapy is an underutilized tool that is highly effective at helping injuries heal. Manual therapies include joint mobilizations and manipulations, spinal manipulation (similar to chiropractic), and massage/soft tissue mobilization techniques.
Modalities include laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, shockwave, PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy, NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation, TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), and thermal therapy (ice and heat). We utilize all of these modalities as we see fit for what our patients need.
Therapeutic exercises are a crucial component of injury recovery. Our thorough knowledge of tissue healing combined with an individual patient approach allows us to progress your dog's exercises properly as they are recovering from injury.
Resuming your sport or active lifestyle with your dog after an injury can be challenging and they may have an increased risk of re-injury without proper conditioning and follow-up care. One of our primary focuses is helping your dog return to sport safely after the rehabilitation phase is complete.
